Embracing her Artistic Side

Hi! I am Karina Enriquez, an EdOp scholar and a junior at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing two majors, a BFA in Dance and a Bachelor’s in Social Work. I am currently working with the University Vice President of Student Affairs as a student consultant and rehearsing for our big fall dance performance here at the College of Fine Arts, as well as volunteering with Breakthrough Central Texas as a math tutor for my Social Work major.

This past summer I worked with a local dance studio in Dallas, Texas as a tap instructor while taking summer classes through UT. During the last two years, I have worked with several choreographers and danced in a dance film titled (Re)Current Unrest choreographed by Charles O. Anderson. Not only have I worked to expand my dance repertoire, but I also have been committed to organizations fighting for social justice like RAICES Austin.

I am currently applying to a study abroad program in London for May-June 2022, choreographing a group dance for my dance department, looking for internships for the second half of summer, and registering for my spring semester!
