The Science of Success

Hi, I’m Precious Anih, a senior EdOp scholar at the University of Texas at Arlington. I am an Exercise Science major with a minor in Biochemistry.

Starting in Summer 2019, I have interned with the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP) for both summers after my sophomore and junior year. I spent my time taking medical school-level courses, shadowing physicians, meeting with Texas medical school admission teams, MCAT prep, and more! I have spent my time researching, volunteering, interning, being a leader and a member of various university organizations, and so much more! I have worked as a JAMP ambassador and UTA peer mentor to help other lower-classmen looking to pursue a career in medicine and want a little guidance for their undergraduate years.

Thanks to Educational Opportunities, I have been able to make the most of my undergraduate career, making sure to enjoy both the academic and social aspects of university. I have enjoyed my time and am looking forward to continuing my education at a professional school.
